Sunday worship service is casual and consists of a blend of traditional and modern elements including a variety of arts, traditions, special events, and surprises so services are exciting when God is glorified.
The congregation sings! The choir meets every Thursday night for rehearsal and sings for Sunday Worship. The congregation often participates in the choir’s special music. Everyone loves to sing the old hymns but also loves new modern and international music too.
The children and youth are invited to attend worship and are included in worship every Sunday through Chime Time. Sunday school follows Chime Time when canned food is collected each Sunday for Flagstaff Family Food Center.
Worship is held in a flexible worship space with mobile seating that can be moved for pot luck dinners following the service or for other functions.
Communion is shared once a month as part of the worship service. All believers are welcome to participate in this intimate and joyous time. World Communion Sunday is an important event for the congregation with bread and chalices from around the world. Sometimes, the words of the communion ritual are spoken in different languages.
The special Sundays of Easter, Christmas, Pentecost, and Thanksgiving are celebrated as well as other special Sundays. The celebrations might feature liturgical dance, singing services, or musical artists. There are special events in the services for Advent and Lent as well as during the week of these special seasons.
